«Una storia di bellezza»
La ricerca di concetti che legano
l’artigianalità, il cuore e il
pensiero alla bellezza, non come
semplice fatto estetico.
The pursuit of concepts which
connect craftsmanship, heart and
thought to a beauty which
transcends pure aesthetics.

Avevo
cinque anni
quando scendevo nel laboratorio
di famiglia che era sotto
casa, respirando l’odore del cuoio
e della colla. Era un mondo
misterioso e fantastico che ancora
non mi apparteneva ma di
cui mi sentivo orgoglioso.
I was five years old when I used
to go down to our family workshop,
which was located on the ground
floor of our house, and breathe in the
smell of leather and glue:
it was a mysterious and fantastic
world that did not yet belong to me
but one that I felt proud of.

«Amo quello che faccio.»
Semplicemente amo quello
che faccio e mi stimola collaborare
con persone che apprezzano
l’artigianalitá. Realizzo totalmente
a mano valigie e
bauli seguendo e rivisitando gli
stili dei grandi maestri del
passato. Apprezzo molto interagire
dall‘inizio del progetto con il
committente per far nascere insieme
l’oggetto che partendo dalle
scelte dei materiali, forme colori e
stile, lentamente prende vita.

Ijust
love what I do and I’m
motivated by cooperation with
people who appreciate craftsmanship;
my suitcases and trunks
are fully handcrafted by following
and revisiting the styles of the great
masters of the past. I love to
interact with the client from
the beginning of the project, to create
the product together, which –
starting from the choice of materials,
shapes, colours and style – slowly
comes to life.

La
sfida più stimolante è
ricreare antichi bauli, icona del
lusso, in funzionali oggetti
che rispettando l’artigianalità,
diventano anche complementi
di arredo o pratici ed eleganti
strumenti di lavoro.

The
most exciting challenge is to
recreate ancient trunks – luxury
icons – into functional objects
that respect craftsmanship and, at
the same time, also become interior
design accessories or practical
and elegant luggage or storage items.

Lavoro nel mio piccolo
laboratorio, nei pressi del lago
d’orta nel nord del Piemonte.
Qui si respira un’aria d’altri
tempi dove in un apparente
disordine odore di colla e pelle,
nascono idee e oggetti unici.
I work in my small workshop,
an old building, which in the forties
hosted a car body shop, near
Lake Orta in northern Piemont. There
you can breathe in the air of times
gone by, where in an ostensible mess,
in a smell of glue and leather,
unique ideas and objects come to life.
