Il risultato di questo complesso processo, dove viene fissato un deposito di argento sulla superficie del prodotto, è un oggetto esclusivo, bello e raffinato. Passion and experience are the input to this new process: Rustic Silver TM is the new silver finish that Aldo Bernardi proposes to enhance the components of the “Surface Wiring System” and of the two production lines, Abbazia and Loggia. The result of this complex process, which is a fixed deposit of silver on the surface of the product, is an object unique, beautiful and refined.
18 Aldo Bernardi G l i O t t o n i 19 Tutto ciò è ottenuto attraverso un processo manuale che inizia dalla pulitura dell’oggetto (con sfere di acciaio dentro ad un buratto se si tratta di fusioni, manualmente se si tratta di superfici lisce). La successiva deposizione di uno strato di argento necessita di trattamenti meccanici o chimici preliminari per favorire una buona adesione dello strato stesso. Il processo finale, quello relativo alla brunitura, dà all’oggetto quella finitura opaca, quel gioco di chiaro-scuro quell’ aspetto “vissuto” che lo rende un oggetto unico nel suo genere. All that is obtained through a manual process that starts from the cleaning of the object (with steel balls inside an appropriate sieve in the case of casting, manually if it comes to smooth surfaces). The subsequent deposition of a layer of silver requires initial mechanical or chemical treatments to promote good adhesion of the layer itself. The final, burnishing process, gives to the object a matte finish, a play of light and dark, a look “lived” …that makes it unique.
