La tavola ricorda il passato. È
forse il supporto che meglio
richiama la nostra storia. Fino al
1500 la tela non veniva utilizzata
se non in rari casi in cui veniva
"incammottata" (cioè incollata)
sulla tavola. Tutti i più grandi lavori
dell'epoca medioevale, si pensi a
Duccio da Boninsegna o Giotto,
furono realizzati su legno.
Per un lavoro duraturo, c'è
bisogno di un supporto
importante. Utilizziamo solo legno
di prima scelta ben essiccato e
con uno spessore adeguato alla
dimensione del dipinto.

Is the media that best recalls our
history. Before 1500, canvas was
only used in rare cases in which it
was "incammottata" (i.e., glued to
the wood). All the great works of
the Middle Ages, such as those
of Duccio, Boninsegna or Giotto,
were painted on wood. An
important work, requires an
important material. We use only
high-grade, well-dried wood of
the right thickness, appropriate for
the size of the painting.
