PROSPETTIVE ED OBIETTIVI PER I PROSSIMI TRE ANNI<br />
1) Sviluppare le conoscenze anche a livello clinico attraverso un trial clinico mirato di una molecola con<br />
promettenti effetti anti-Alzheimer e anti-diabete<br />
2) Estendere a oligomeri di altri peptidi/proteine i dati ottenuti su HypF-N per generalizzare l’idea che la<br />
citotossicità degli oligomeri amiloidi dipente da una complessa interrelazione tra proprieta biofisiche degli<br />
oligomeri e delle membrane cellulari con cui interagiscono.<br />
3) Definire il destino di oligomeri una volta penetrati nella cellula dall’esterno.<br />
4) Studiare gli effetti a livello funzionale (elettrofisiologico) di oligomeri tossici di TTR su cardiomiociti in<br />
coltura<br />
