Identification service
The fungal diseased specimens should be properly dried and to be sent for identification. The rates for
identification of specimens are ` 1000.00 per specimen for Government /Non Commercial Organization
and ` 8000.00 per specimen for Commercial Organizations. An advance payment for identification
service can be made by cash or through demand draft in favour of “ICAR, Unit IARI” payable at New
Delhi.
Accession of fungal diseased specimens
Identified specimens can be sent for accession. The HCIO accession number will be allotted to the
specimens and the accession report will be sent within one month after receipt of specimens. It is necessary
to mention this HCIO numbers in publication. The details as per Annexure 1 should be furnished along
with specimens for accession. Microscopic slides can also be accessioned in herbarium.
Catologuing of fungal specimens at HCIO
A list of fungal names are arranged in alphabetical order. The specimen data in this catalogue includes
name of the fungi, name of the host or substrate, date of collection, name of the collector and a unique
HCIO accession numbers of the specimens. We have taken efforts to catalogue 5000 specimens with
host index which were accessioned in HCIO for the past 10-12 years and the efforts will be continued for
cataloguing of remaining specimens of HCIO.
