5 Safety instructionsWARNING!All applicable legal requirements concerning occupationalsafety must be adhered to, along withthe safety instructions that are cited in the section“Safety instructions” and all other generally applicablehealth and working principles. The manufactureraccepts no liability for any damage that iscaused by unauthorised changes to the machine.5.1 General safety instructions- Before starting up the machine, read the providedsafety instructions and operating instructionscarefully and completely.- You must keep all supplied documents and mustonly pass the machine onto other people if youalso pass on these documents.5.2 Safety warnings- You must also adhere to any other safety instructionsthat are supplied as part of the scopeof delivery of each machine.- Before starting up any tool, you must check theflexible power cable and the plug. You must haveany defects fixed by a professional.- Never touch the machine with wet hands whenit is connected to the power mains.- The switch must be in the OFF position beforeyou connect it to the mains.- The container with the material that is to bemixed must be stabilised to prevent it from slippingon the floor.- Only use the tool until the stirring rod diameterthat is specified in the technical specificationshas been reached.- Load the machine in such a way that the speeddoes not decrease too much or the machine isforced to stop.- Always guide the flexible power cable from thetool to the rear. Never pull hard on the flexiblepower cable and never set it on or guide it overany sharp edges.- Only work in a safe and stable position.- Take into account that there will be a reactionarytorsional momentum.5.3 Other safety risksEven in cases where the machine is used correctlyand all relevant safety instructions have been adheredto, the design engineering of the machineand its operation mean that there may also be thefollowing safety risks:- Danger that may be caused by the flexible powercable.- A concentration of dust which is harmful tohealth when working in an area that is not sufficientlyventilated.- Injuries caused by touching electrified partswhen removing the machine or its parts if theplugs on the flexible power cable have not beenremoved from the socket.- You must only use original PROTOOL spareparts.5.4 Information about noise andvibrationsLevels determined in accordance with EN 60 745are typically:MXP 1000 E EF, MXP 1200 E EFSound pressure levelL PA = 86 dB (A)Noise levelL WA = 97 dB (A)UncertaintyK = 1.5 dBMXP 1002 E EFSound pressure levelL PA = 86 dB (A)Noise levelL WA = 97 dB (A)UncertaintyK = 1.5 dBCAUTIONOperating noiseDamage to hearing► Use ear protection!Vibration emission value a h (vector sum for threedirections) and uncertainty K measured in accordancewith EN 60 745:MXP 1000 E EF, MXP 1200 E EF a h = 1.0 m/s 2Uncertainty K = 0.5 m/s 2MXP 1002 E EF a h = 1.0 m/s 2Uncertainty K = 0.5 m/s 2Declared total value of vibrations was measuredaccording to standard measure method and canbe used for comparison one powertools with theothers.Declared total value of vibrations can be used forpreliminary setting of exposition.Warning:Emission of vibrations during real operating canbe different from declared total value of vibrationsdepending on specific real conditions. To protect operating person shell be provide safetymeasurement, that evaluate the exposition underthe real conditions (here are included all partsof operating cycle, switch of mode and idle runmode).11
