Installation Instructions:GB1.) Remove the spare wheel and tool kit from the well in the floor pan. Remove the rear paneltrim and the rear bumper.2.) Lay reinforcement plate 2 on the floor of the luggage compartment and locate the 11 punchmarks for the fixing holes and 1 punch mark for the rubber grommet hole for the wiringharness.3.) Drill 2 ø 12-mm holes through the floor pan at positions „a" and „b". The holes are alreadypresent in the frame side members.4.) Drill ø 14-mm holes through the rear panel at positions „c" and through the floor pan atpositions „d".5.) Drill the hole for the wiring harness rubber grommet – to fit the size of the grommet – throughthe rear wall. The punch mark is already present.6.) Lay reinforcement plate 2 on the floor of the luggage compartment. Insert spacers 3 into theframe side members from below and bolt them loosely to reinforcement plate 2 at positions„a" and „b".7.) Hold towing bracket 1 against the rear panel from outside and bolt it loosely to the rear paneland reinforcement plate 2 at positions „c".8.) Bolt reinforcement plate 2 loosely to the floor pan at positions „d".9.) First tighten all the bolts at positions „c" at the rear panel and at positions „d" at the floorpan, and then the bolts at positions „a" and „b" to a tightening torque of 40 Nm.10.) Cut away the bumper as indicated by the small markings on the inside of the bumper.Note: Please contact your local Opel dealer to find out whether any modifications have to be madeto the vehicle (cooling system, suspension) when a towing bracket is mounted.Subject to alteration.19
