Nach einemverheerenden Brand im Jahre 1924 wurde vieles wieder aufgebaut. Bei einer Entdeckungsreisedurch den verkehrsfreien Ort spürt man den Atem dieser Zeit: Die Resteder wehrhaften Ringmauer zeugen von dem Respekt der Mönche vor den Bauern, diesich gegen die hohen Abgaben auflehnten. Der Kreuzgang mit seinen Durchreichenfür die Mahlzeiten der Mönche wird im Sommer Schauplatz einer Kunstausstellungvon hohem Rang. Die Klosterküche mit mystischen Zeichen oder die Heilig-Geist-Grotte sind nur einige der sehenswerten Dinge, die diesem Ort seine Ausstrahlungverleihen. Der lebendige Dorfplatz wird zur Bühne, denn alle wichtigen Dinge findendie Bewohner des Schnalstales hier: Gemeindeamt, Post und Bank. Dazwischenspielende Kinder, die sich vor keinem Auto fürchten müssen. Trotz Geschäftigkeitstrahlt dieser Ort und seine herzlichen Bewohner eine Ruhe und Kraft aus, die manganz selten findet.Il paesino idilliaco di Certosa non si scorge subito una volta giunti in valle, anchese si colloca a soli 600 m a sinistra dalla strada principale. Lì dove un tempo vivevanoi monaci di Certosa dal 1326 fino al 1782 ancora oggi tra le mura del chiostro,si percepisce ancora la loro presenza. Con l’incendio scoppiato nel 1924 il paesevenne quasi interamente distrutto, tuttavia non sono state cancellate tutte le traccedel chiostro. Una parte del muro di cinta é preservato molto bene, così come anche ilchiostro, la grotta con sepolcro, la cucina, tutte testimonianze del passato, terminatoimprovvisamente con la secolarizzazione dell’Imperatore Giuseppe II. d’Austria. Lavita nel monastero non era così tranquilla come poteva apparire, lo testimonia ancheil rialzo del muro di cinta che proteggeva il monastero dall’assalto dei contadini cheprotestarono contro le ingenti tasse pretese dai monaci. Nel paese magnificamenterestaurato di Certosa hanno sede il Comune di Senales, l’ufficio postale ed una filialedella Cassa Raiffeisen di Senales. Gli ospiti sono accolti in maniera molto ospitale neipochi esercizi turistici del posto – tanto da farli sentire come a casa propria. This is where the Karthaus monks once lived (1326 to 1782)and you still can feel the spiritual presence within the cloister walls. In 1924, the villagewas nearly totally destroyed, but even today, visitors can find numerous traces ofthe former Certosa monastery. A part of the circular wall is still intact – and so is thecloisters, the Holy Grave tomb, the monks’ kitchen ... All of these are witnesses fromthe times of the monastery, which came to an end during secularisation by EmperorJoseph II of Austria. Life in the monastery was not very peaceful, as you can see fromthe circular walls. They were built to protect the monks from the farmers, who had topay high taxes to the monastery. Today, the wonderfully renovated Certosa is the seatof the town hall, the post office, as well as a branch of the Raiffeisenkasse (bank) ofSchnals. The guesthouses in and around Certosa are welcoming to all guests and youwill feel at home, whether you come during the summer or the winter. Opposite Certosa,towards the north of the main Alpine mountain range, the Pfossen Valley leadsyou directly into the heart of the Texel Group Nature Park.Certosa (1323 m)Rentrant en voiture dans la vallée, il ne faut pas manquer ce village idyllique, bienqu’il soit à peine visible de la route de la vallée et seulement 600 mètres sur la gauchede la route principale. Aujourd’hui, la Certosa merveilleusement rénovéeest le siège de l’hôtel de ville, du bureau de poste, en plus d’une agence du Raiffeisenkasse(banque) de Senales. Les pensions de famille à et autour de Certosa accueillenttous les clients et vous vous sentirez vraiment bien en été comme en hiver.
