• Never unplug it from the socket by
pulling on the cable.
• Never use your appliance if it is not working
correctly, or if it has been damaged. If this
happens, contact an approved KRUPS service
centre (see list in service booklet).
• Any intervention other than cleaning and
normal maintenance by the customer must
be carried by an approved KRUPS service
centre.
• Never place the appliance, the power cable
or the plug in water or any other liquid.
• Never allow the power cable to hang down
within reach of children.
• The power cable must never be allowed to
be close to or in contact with the hot parts
of your appliance, close to a source of heat
or to rest on a sharp edge.
• If the power cable or the plug are damaged,
do not use the appliance. To prevent any
danger, these must be replaced by approved
KRUPS service centre (see list in service
booklet).
• Do not use the isothermal coffee jug over a
flame or on the hotplates of electric cookers.
• Never put the isothermal coffee jug in a
microwave.
• Follow the descaling instructions for your
coffee maker.
• To prevent damaging the inner glass wall,
never place sharp utensils inside the
isothermal coffee jug. Ice cubes and sugar
cubes must be gently placed in the coffee
jug and with liquid inside. The stainless steel
isothermal coffee jug is a lot stronger
because of the material used.
• Never refill your appliance with water if it is
still hot (allow it to cool for about ten
minutes).
• Do not put hot water into the water tank.
• For your own safety, only use the accessories
and spare parts from KRUPS which are
suitable for your appliance.

- Lid for isothermal coffee jug
When the isothermal coffee jug is inserted in
the coffee maker, the middle part of the lid
retracts to let the coffee filter through whilst
the lid remains tightly screwed on the coffee
jug to retain the heat.
- Cord storage
You can adjust the length of the cord by
pulling it out from, or pushing it into, the
interior of the appliance (12).
Using the coffee maker
• Before first using your appliance run your
coffee maker once or twice with water only
or without coffee to rinse through the
appliance.
• Open the lid (1).
• Fill the water tank with cold water, observing
the water level indicator (2).
• Close the lid.
• Swing out the filter holder container (3).
• Insert a n° 4 (1X4) in the active filter holder.
We recommend that you fold over the edges
of the filter paper (4) to make it easier to
insert.
