Ignition lead sets – marking, technical specifications<strong>TESLA</strong> ignition lead sets are made of different types of cables, their b<strong>as</strong>ic construction and parameters are described below. Sets comply tothe ISO 6856, ISO 3808 and SAE J2301 international standards. Core substrateconsists of aramid and gl<strong>as</strong>sfibre bundle and core exterioris formed by conductive silicone compound. Gl<strong>as</strong>s fibresensure high tension stability and conductive elementsensure maximum effectivity of both energy transmissionand attenuation. The braided (3) inner insulation (2) provideselectric insulation and improves mechanical qualities inthe bend area. The outer silicone jacket (4) protects thecore, including the insulation, against the conditions ofthe working enviroment under the bonnet. Ignition lead isfurnished with contacts. These contacts (5) are specific bytheir shape (6) in order to ensure the connection between <strong>as</strong>park plug and distributor (coil and distributor).
