EUROPEAN ROUTE OF JEWISH HERITAGE / ITINERAIRE EUROPEEN DU PATRIMOINE JUIFNew step: Signatures of the new AEPJ by laws.The presidents of the 3 organisations, M. ReinoldSimon, president of Bn’ai B’rith Europe who wasrepresented by Mr. Ralph Weill, EC Member, Mr.Jonathan Joseph, president of the EuropeanCouncil of Jewish Communities and Mr. EnriqueRibes Pellicer, Mayor of Hervás and president of Redde Juderias de España, met on Monday, September18, 2006 in Luxemburg in order to sign the newAEPJ by laws. This ceremony is a new symbolic stepin the partnership between these partner organisations:their formal recognition as founder membersof the projects of the European Day of JewishCulture and the European Route of Jewish Heritage.The ceremony was followed by an official dinner atwhich representatives of the Government ofLuxembourg, the European Institute for CulturalRoutes of the Council of Europe, the ambassadorsof different countries and the representatives of thethree partner organisations attended.Please find below the speech pronounced byM.
