In additionArchipelagus Lines will start a new ferry line from<strong>Porto</strong>ferraio to Livorno this summer4 Cruise passengers increased by 12.87% in the first quarter of 2011 although ferry passenger numbers fell by 27%in arrival and 15% in departure.5 The increase in ferry fares has hit people but ship-owners have also had cost increases to support.6 Traffic increases are not our only objective. We are preparing a medium term plan to increase our offer of servicesfor passengers and the inhabitants of the city. We will build a new pavilion in front of the passenger terminal called“Toscana” tol be used for events and offer local food and wine specialities.
