7.2 Solving breakdowns and technical serviceThis <strong>filter</strong> includes instructions which are especially designed for family use. There is no need for professional assistance,except for in special cases. The following are some of the problems and causes which may arise over time after years ofservice by the <strong>filter</strong>. Normally you can solve these problems on your own. If not, contact the pool manufacturer at thetelephone and time indicated in the instructions.PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTIONThe <strong>filter</strong> leaks through the hose terminalsAfter the <strong>filter</strong> has started up, there is no flow inthe feedback nozzle.Intermittent operationThe flow rate of the <strong>filter</strong> is low.Water comes out through the <strong>filter</strong> opening.The <strong>filter</strong> valve leaks through the drain terminal.The motor will not start up. There is no noise orvibration.Improper connection between the terminals andthe hoses.The valve is not on the filtration setting.The motor does not start up but a buzzing soundcan be heard. Condenser damaged ( 6?F )Water leaks through the protective housing.Place Teflon in the housings. Insert the hoseterminals up until the bottom of the housing andtighten the clamps.Disconnect the <strong>filter</strong> and place the valve on thecorrect setting.Place the <strong>filter</strong> in the correct position and primeit.The <strong>filter</strong> is above the level of the unprimedwater.The pump is jammed and must be disassembled. See the section 7.1The suction cover or the skimmer plug havebeen inserted.Remove the suction cover or the skimmer plug.Low water level on skimmerFill the pool and prime the <strong>filter</strong>.The <strong>filter</strong> is not primed.Prime the <strong>filter</strong>.Due to use, the <strong>filter</strong> is dirty.Perform a backwash.The <strong>filter</strong> is not primed.Prime the <strong>filter</strong>.The connection between the valve and the <strong>filter</strong> Clean the sand from the opening.
