<strong>Nata</strong> a <strong>Roma</strong> <strong>il</strong> <strong>03</strong>/<strong>06</strong>/<strong>1971.</strong> <strong>Nel</strong> <strong>1989</strong> <strong>ha</strong> <strong>conseguito</strong> <strong>la</strong> maturità scientifica con <strong>la</strong> votazione di60/60. <strong>Nel</strong> 1995 <strong>ha</strong> <strong>conseguito</strong> <strong>la</strong> <strong>la</strong>urea in Scienze Agrarie presso <strong>la</strong> Facoltà di Agrariadell’Università di Bari, con <strong>la</strong> votazione di 110/110 e lode. <strong>Nel</strong> febbraio 2000 <strong>ha</strong> <strong>conseguito</strong> <strong>il</strong> titolodi Dottore di Ricerca in Scienze Animali, Università di Padova, docente guida prof. Gero<strong>la</strong>moXiccato, discutendo <strong>la</strong> Tesi di Dottorato dal titolo “Valutazione del<strong>la</strong> qualità delle carni medianteSpettrometria nel Vicino Infrarosso (NIRS)”. <strong>Nel</strong> febbraio 2000 <strong>ha</strong> superato <strong>la</strong> selezione per <strong>il</strong>conferimento di un assegno per <strong>la</strong> col<strong>la</strong>borazione ad attività di ricerca “Armonizzazione europea deimetodi di valutazione degli alimenti per conigli” (Macroarea 3, Area 8, settore G09D) presso <strong>il</strong>Dipartimento di Scienze Zootecniche (ora Scienze Animali, DSA) di Padova, confermato nelfebbraio 2002 per gli anni 2002-2004. Dal 2004 al 20<strong>06</strong> <strong>ha</strong> frequentato <strong>il</strong> DSA di Padova comeborsista post-doc. Negli anni 2007 e 2008 <strong>ha</strong> col<strong>la</strong>borato con contratti a vario titolo con <strong>il</strong>Dipartimento di Scienze degli Alimenti dell’Università di Bologna (prof. C<strong>la</strong>udio Cavani) e con <strong>il</strong>Dipartimento di Produzioni Animali dell’Università di Udine (prof. Em<strong>il</strong>io Tibaldi) a progetti inconiglicoltura e acquacoltura. <strong>Nel</strong> 2009, <strong>ha</strong> continuato <strong>la</strong> sua attività di ricerca in coniglicolturacome borsista presso <strong>il</strong> DSA di Padova (prof. Giovanni Bittante) e da giugno 2010 <strong>ha</strong> un contrattodi ricerca per un progetto sull’acquacoltura biologica presso <strong>il</strong> Dipartimento di Scienze SperimentaliVeterinarie di Padova (dott.ssa Danie<strong>la</strong> Bertotto). Dal 2002 ad oggi <strong>ha</strong> svolto attività didatticaseminariale e di supporto al<strong>la</strong> didattica nel settore AGR/20 presso vari enti pubblici e per <strong>la</strong> Facoltàdi Agraria, Corso di Laurea Specialista (CLS) in Scienze e Tecnologie Animali, CLS in Scienze eTecnologie alimentari e per <strong>il</strong> Corso di Laurea interfacoltà di primo livello in Scienze e Culturadel<strong>la</strong> Gastronomia e del<strong>la</strong> Ristorazione. <strong>Nel</strong>l’a.a. 2009/10 <strong>ha</strong> avuto l’affidamento del corso“Tecniche di allevamento delle specie avicole, cunicole, acquatiche e dell’avifauna” del Corso diLaurea in Medicina Veterinaria dell’Università di Padova. Negli a.a. 2009/10 e 2010/11 <strong>ha</strong> avutol’affidamento del corso “Avicoltura e Coniglicoltura” del Corso di Laurea in Medicina Veterinariadell’Università di Padova.È segretario-tesoriere dell’Associazione Scientifica Italiana di Coniglicoltura (ASIC) e socio del<strong>la</strong>World Rabbit Science Association (WRSA). Ha partecipato al<strong>la</strong> progettazione,organizzazione e realizzazione di ricerche re<strong>la</strong>tive a diverse tematiche nel settore zootecnico,dedicandosi in partico<strong>la</strong>re allo studio dell’armonizzazione delle metodologie di studio del<strong>la</strong>nutrizione del coniglio; dei fabbisogni nutritivi e metabolismo energetico e proteico dei conigli inaccrescimento e in riproduzione; dei sistemi di allevamento e del benessere del coniglio inaccrescimento; del<strong>la</strong> valutazione delle caratteristiche chimiche, fisiche e organolettiche delle carnidi coniglio e analisi dei fattori alimentari e ambientali che le influenzano; applicazione del<strong>la</strong>spettrometria nel vicino infrarosso (NIRS) nel<strong>la</strong> valutazione del<strong>la</strong> composizione e valore nutritivo dialimenti zootecnici e delle caratteristiche chimiche, fisiche e organolettiche delle carni di variespecie (conigli, vitelli, pesci). <strong>Nel</strong>l’ambito di diversi progetti nazionali ed internazionali, <strong>ha</strong>col<strong>la</strong>borato e col<strong>la</strong>bora con ricercatori di varie Università e Centri di Ricerca italiani e stranieri, coni quali <strong>ha</strong> intrapreso ricerche comuni o armonizzato le metodologie di studio.1
L'attività scientifica svolta si è concretizzata nel<strong>la</strong> pubblicazione di oltre 90 fra <strong>la</strong>vori scientifici,comunicazioni di carattere sperimentale a congressi nazionali ed internazionali, capitoli di librinazionali ed internazionali.2
Born in Rome on <strong>03</strong>/<strong>06</strong>/<strong>1971.</strong> In 1995, she got the Degree in Agricultural Science at the Universityof Bari, score 110/110 cum <strong>la</strong>ude. In 2000 February, she got the title of PhD in Animal Science atthe University of Padova by discussing the thesis “Evaluation of meat quality by Near InfraredReflectance Spectroscopy (NIRS)”. In 2000, she was selected for a research contract on “European<strong>ha</strong>rmonization of rabbit feed evaluation” (Macroarea 3, Area 8, settore G09D) at the Department ofAnimal Science of Padova (DSA), which was renewed in 2002 for the years 2002-2004. From 2004to 20<strong>06</strong>, she attended the DSA working as a post-doc researcher. During 2007 and 2008 shecol<strong>la</strong>borated with various contracts with the Department of Food Science of the University ofBologna (prof. C<strong>la</strong>udio Cavani) and the Department of Animal Science of the University of Udine(prof. Em<strong>il</strong>io Tibaldi) in projects on rabbit science and aquaculture. During 2009, she continued herresearch activity with a grant on rabbit projects at the DSA of Padova (prof. Giovanni Bittante) andsince June 2010 she <strong>ha</strong>s a research contract for a project in organic aquaculture at the Department ofExperimental and Veterinary Sciences of Padova (dr. Danie<strong>la</strong> Bertotto). Since 2002 unt<strong>il</strong> now, she<strong>ha</strong>s given seminars, lessons and support to some official courses in the sector AGR/20 at variouspublic institutions and at the Agricultural Faculty of Padova, 2 nd Cycle Degrees in Animal Scienceand Technology, Master in Food Science and Technology and interfaculty 1 st Cycle Degree inScience and Culture of Gastronomy and Food Services. In the academic year 2009/10 she held thesubject “Rearing techniques of poultry, rabbits, aquatic species and avifauna” in the frame of theVeterinary Medicine Degree of the University of Padova. In the academic years 2009/10 and2010/11, she held the subject “Poultry and rabbit science”, Veterinary Medicine Degree of Padova.Secretary-treasurer of the Italian Rabbit Scientific Association (ASIC) and member of the WorldRabbit Science Association. She took part in the organization and realization of researches on various subjects inthe animal production sector, devoting most of her time to studies on the <strong>ha</strong>rmonization of rabbitfeed evaluation; the nutritive requirements, energy and protein metabolism in growing rabbits andreproducing does; the rearing systems and welfare in growing rabbits; the evaluation of chemica<strong>la</strong>nd reological properties of rabbit meat as well as the analysis of feed and environment factorscapable of affecting it; the use of near infrared reflectance spectroscopy (NIRS) to evaluatechemical composition and nutritive value of feeds for animals and chemical and reological traits ofmeat from various species (rabbits, veal, fish). Within several national and international projects,she col<strong>la</strong>borated and col<strong>la</strong>borates with Italian and foreign researchers of different Universities andresearch centers, with which performed common studies or <strong>ha</strong>rmonized methodologiesShe is author and co-author of more t<strong>ha</strong>n 90 original scientific documents, including researchpapers, communications at congresses, c<strong>ha</strong>pters of book both at a national and at an internationallevel.3
