English AbstractThe object of this thesis is the translation from Russian into Italian and theanalysis of the scientific article written by Edward Balcerzan Perevod kak tvorčestvowhich appeared in 1978 in Babel, International Journal of Translation (vol. XXIV,ISSN 0521-9744, NO 3-4). The first part of this paper provides an outline of the author’spoint of view focused on a subject broached by many translators and expertsof the theory of translation – the limits and the importance of target texts’ accommodation.In the second section the translation with parallel original Russian text canbe found. The question of the translator’s creativity is fundamental for the sciencethat studies such notions as equivalence and adequacy. The more translators changethe spirit of the original text adapting it culturally, ideologically, aesthetically etc.,the less its original aspect emerges. In his scientific article Balcerzan stabilizes thelimits and the importance of such target texts’ accommodation.5
