en7.2 Getting Started7.2.1 Preparation1. Carefully remove the central unit and theaccessories from the packaging and set them ona flat surface in the desired location. Keep theenvironmental specifications listed below in mindwhen choosing this location.2. After opening the package and before beginninginstallation, check the device for possible damageand for missing parts. Notify your supplier within24 hours after receiving the device about anymissing parts or damage in transit.3. Check that the device serial number on thebottom of the central unit matches the one indicatedon the package.4. Check that the serial number of the VDW 6:1contra-angle matches the one indicated on its box.5. Sterilise the following components in the autoclave:- VDW 6:1 contra-angle (consult the separateoperating instructions)- Lip clip and file clip (not including cables), seeChapter 8.2 Cleaning, Disinfection and Sterilisation(in Accordance with DIN EN ISO 17664).6.
