The device mustbe operated and stored in a safe environment.• Do not use the device in the presenceof free oxygen, anaesthetic substances orflammable products. The device must beoperated and stored in a safe environment.40• The device requires special safety precautionswith regard to electromagneticcompatibility (EMC), and the EMC informationcontained in this manual must bestrictly adhered to during installation andoperation. It is especially important notto use the device near fluorescent lamps,radio transmitters or remote controls,portable or mobile radio frequency communicationsequipment.• In order to avoid possible danger fromelectromagnetic interference, do not operateany other electromedical or other electricaldevices near the VDW.GOLD ® RECIPROC ® .The electromagnetic radiation emitted bythis device is below the recommendedlimits set by the applicable regulations(DIN EN 60601-1-2:2007).• Do not pinch the cables on the micromotor,the lip clip, the file clip, the foot pedalor the charger, and do not pull directly onthe cables when plugging in or unpluggingcomponents. Make sure cables are no obstacleand do not limit mobility.• The use of accessories other than thosespecified, with the exception of componentssold by the manufacturer as replacementparts for internal components,may result in increased emissions ordecreased immunity of the device.Power Supply• Only use the battery charger provided.• The battery charger must be connectedto a power supply measuring 100-240 V(+/- 10 %), 47-63 Hz.• Turn the VDW.GOLD ® RECIPROC ® off beforedisconnecting the charger.• Do not position the battery charger in away that it is difficult to disconnect thedevice from the mains.Battery• Always work on battery power to ensurelong battery life. It is recommended that youonly recharge the battery after it has completelydischarged.• If the battery LED light begins to flash redduring use, connect the device to the batterycharger immediately in order to preventit from shutting down.
