IL CINEMA ARGENTINO CONTEMPORANEO
Il 18 luglio 1994, in una tragica mattina d’inverno a Buenos
Aires, un bomba esplose nella sede dell’AMIA (Associazione
di mutuo soccorso israelita in Argentina) provocando
la morte di 85 persone. Dieci registi argentini ricordano
quell’evento con dieci cortometraggi dedicati alle vittime
di quell’atto terroristico. A tanti anni di distanza da quell’evento
luttuoso le autorità non sono riuscite a scoprire i
colpevoli di quel crimine e a svelarne gli intrecci politici.
Un film collettivo che vuole ricordare non soltanto l’attentato
all’AMIA, ma anche gli orrori che hanno sconvolto
l’Argentina in questi decenni di morte.
“Il momento precedente all’esplosione e il cuore stesso
dell’esplosione. Un’onda nata nel centro dell’orrore che
dirompe incontenibile sulle cose e dopo si allontana. Tutto
lo spavento riflesso in dieci minuti che parevano fermarsi
arbitrariamente, capricciosamente. Vento, fuoco, terra,
macerie. Cartoline popolate di dettagli, piccoli oggetti
dove vediamo l’intimo riflesso della gente”.

marcata da esodi e onde migratorie, sia per ragioni economiche
che religiose o politiche. La ricerca di un luogo per
costruire e radicarsi riguarda ogni individuo, e può essere
attraversata dagli avvenimenti mondiali, in ogni momento,
in tutti i luoghi. È il caso dei personaggi di questa storia, per
cui questi temi sono messi costantemente in questione”.

On the tragic winter morning of July 18, 1994, in Buenos Aires,
a bomb exploded at the headquarters of the AMIA (Argentine-
Israeli Mutual Association), killing 85 people. Ten Argentinean
directors remember the terrorist act with ten short films dedicated
to its victims. Over ten years after the mournful event,
authorities have still not found the criminals nor uncovered the
political intrigue behind it. This collective film strives to evoke
not only the AMIA attack, but also the horrors that have devastated
Argentina in these decades of death.

reflected in ten minutes that seemed to stop, arbitrarily and

and political reasons. The search for a place to build and
settle down regards every individual, and can be traversed by
world events, in every moment, in all places. Such is the case of
