elazione che deriva da questo pensiero incessante. Per questo da anni continuo a fare i laboratori nelle scuole, sono stati la prima cosa che ho fatto uscito dalla scuola del cinema e attraverso i laboratori ho capito molte cose su come volevo lavorare; da lì è nato il discorso sulla relazione. C’è stato poi anche un elemento autobiografico determinante che è stato il servizio civile presso una comunità di minori con problemi psichici: un anno che mi ha aiutato a capire come coniugare il desiderio di raccontare attraverso il cinema con l’attenzione per le relazioni tra gli uomini, che oggi sempre di più è attenzione anche per le relazioni tra gli uomini e gli animali o le cose. Gianmarco Torri: Ultimamente stai girando un lavoro con il telefonino. Andrea Caccia: Sempre di più lo strumento che uso si rivela uno strumento per capire e riflettere sulla mia vita. Ciò che sto sperimentando con il telefonino per esempio ha a che fare con le relazioni dentro al nucleo “fortificato” della famiglia. Perché quell’immagine è un’immagine non messa a fuoco, a bassa definizione, come se il fluire della vita all’interno di un contesto familiare fosse più o meno di quel tipo, ecco che torniamo al discorso del formato per raccontare un determinato “oggetto”. Il telefonino rimanda un’immagine non definita e per me i contorni dei rapporti familiari sono labili, come non messi a fuoco, anche se poi spesso sentiamo parlare della famiglia in maniera molto definita e certa. Gianmarco Torri: In molti dei tuoi lavori, penso a L’estate vola, a Tribulero, a Disco Inverno, c'è verso la fine un momento di svolta, di passaggio, di distensione. Questo passaggio si lega quasi sempre con la musica, con l’arrivo di un “pezzo” musicale. A un certo punto si passa da uno sguardo analitico che osserva e si sofferma a una dimensione più emotiva. Andrea Caccia: La musica è un elemento centrale del mio lavoro, è un “colore” molto prezioso. Ci sono momenti in cui cerco un elemento esterno per dire delle cose che non voglio esprimere in modo troppo preciso, definito, che non voglio dire con le parole o con le immagini; e trovo quasi sempre la musica. Anche se cerco di usarla sempre con un atteggiamento critico, che non sia troppo didascalico. In alcuni casi poi la musica è una guida, diventa la chiave di un lavoro. Il Quartetto è nato solo ascoltando il fluire della musica, senza aver scritto niente. E lo stesso sta accadendo con il film su Bugo, che è poi in fondo un documentario sul sentire la musica, su Cristian, ma anche sulla relazione che si crea tra me e la musica che ascolto mentre giro. La seconda cosa che entra in gioco nei finali è credo la mia passione per la narrazione. Con un po’ di ironia potrei dire che c’è sempre l’happy end nei miei film e in un certo senso è vero, lo riconosco perché non sono contro gli happy end, il problema è piuttosto come ci si arriva. Il mio sguardo sulle cose e sul mondo è uno sguardo che cerca di essere lucido, e per questo è pieno di disperazione. Ma dentro a questa disperazione ogni volta, guardando i girati, vedo emergere a un certo punto un’apertura, una via d’uscita, che forse è la parte più intima del mio sguardo. This passage is almost always tied to music, to the arrival of a musical “piece.” At a certain point, you pass from an analytical perspective that observes and lingers to a more emotional dimension. Andrea Caccia: Music is a central element to my work, it is a very precious “color.” There are moments when I search for an external element for saying things I don’t want to express in a very precise or defined way, that I don’t want to say with words or images, and I almost always find music. Even if I try to use it from a critical stance that is not overly didactic. In some cases, then, music is a guide, it becomes the key to a work. Quartetto came about only from listening to the flow of the music, without having written anything. The same thing is happening with the film on Bugo, which is ultimately a documentary on hearing music, on Cristian, but also on the relationship created between myself and the music I’m listening to as I’m shooting. The second thing that comes into play in the endings is my passion for narration. FOCUS ANDREA CACCIA TRIBULERO Luigi Kluc è un uomo di 73 anni che vive in un ospedale geriatrico. La sua vita trascorre lentamente, tra le poltrone delle sale dell’istituto, le passeggiate per Milano, le sigarette di seconda mano, il cinema e la raccolta dei quotidiani abbandonati nei cestini della spazzatura. Andrea conosce Luigi e cerca di seguirlo con una macchina da presa, con l’intenzione di filmare un frammento di realtà, isolato. Due è il tentativo da parte di un gruppo di persone, di girare un film in ‘diretta’, allontanandosi il più possibile da certi schematismi della docufiction televisiva, (dove nella maggior parte dei casi si crea una realtà ingannatrice) e senza cadere in odiose pantomime meta-cinematografiche (ovvero la noia del processo creativo messa sullo schermo). Due è un tentativo, già sperimentato e visto, di demolire i rapporti di forza che si determinano all’interno della troupe, coinvolgendo sin dal principio (cioè dall’ideazione del progetto) l’intero gruppo di persone coinvolte nella realizzazione del film. Un film da girare mentre lo si scrive e da scrivere mentre lo si gira. Un lavoro quindi, senza una direzione precisa (quella imposta dalla regia), ma una sorta di crocevia di soggettività confluenti in un unico ‘corpo cinematografico’, il film appunto. Due, non è un film sui rapporti tra personaggi inseriti dentro a una struttura preordinata (sceneggiatura), ma il lavoro di un gruppo di persone che ‘muovono’ il proprio sentire intorno a una macchina da presa”.
