Tratto da una poesia di Jeanne Marie Beaumont e con la
voce narrante di Garrison Keillor, in questo found footage,
Rosenblatt assembla brevi sequenze mostrando gli
orrori del mondo, in un piccolo film del terrore umano.
“Ho ascoltato la poesia alla radio e immediatamente ho
capito di poter fare un cortometraggio interessante. Dopo
qualche lavoro di ricerca su Internet, ho individuato la
poetessa che si è mostrata molto disponibile. Il film mi ha
impegnato più a lungo di quanto mi aspettassi, ma è sempre
così. In tre minuti, il film/poesia incute veramente un
indiscutibile terrore”.

Biografia
Jay Rosenblatt ha fatto film sin dal 1980. Recentemente ha
vinto una Guggenheim Fellowship e una Rockefeller Fellowship.
I suoi film hanno conquistato molti premi e sono
stati proiettati in tutto il mondo. Rosenblatt è originario
di New York e ha vissuto per molti anni a San Francisco.
Dal 1989 ha insegnato produzione di film e video in molte
scuole di cinema della Bay Area. Ha una laurea in psicologia
e, in una vita precedente, lavorava come psicoterapeuta.
In this found footage film based on a poem by Jeanne Marie
Beaumont and featuring the voice of Garrison Keillor, Jay
Rosenblatt film assembles sequences depicting the horrors of the
world, in a small film on human terror.
“I heard the poem on the radio and immediately felt it could
make an interesting short film. After some Internet detective
work, I tracked down the poet and she was most agreeable. The
film took longer than I expected, but they always do. In three
minutes, the film/poem really conveys a certain dread.”

Biography
Jay Rosenblatt has been making films since 1980. He is a recent
recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship and a Rockefeller Fellowship.
His films have won many awards and have screened
throughout the world. Rosenblatt is originally from New York
and has lived in San Francisco for many years. He has been a
film and video production instructor since 1989 at various film
schools in the Bay Area. He has a Master's Degree in Counseling
Psychology and, in a former life, worked as a therapist.
