Il regista Lee Ji-sang che ha fatto film per dieci anni<br />
improvvisamente è tornato a vivere nella sua fattoria nel<br />
2003 e ha cominciato a realizzare una serie di video suddivisa<br />
in dieci parti sulla sua nuova vita. Questa è la<br />
seconda puntata e rappresenta il diario personale <strong>del</strong><br />
regista, il quale per questo motivo è sempre presente nel<br />
film.<br />
“Sono partito per cercare i buoi. Questi sembravano passare<br />
attraverso un vicolo angusto circondato dalla nebbia.<br />
Rimangono le impronte. Dove potrò andare una volta che<br />
ho scoperto le impronte? Spero solo che tutti noi possiamo<br />
farcela offuscati da quella nebbia”.<br />

Biografia<br />
Nato nel 1962 a Kimhae ha studiato presso l’Università<br />
Teologica di Hankook. Ha esordito alla regia nel 1993 con<br />
il cortometraggio For Rosa. La sua opera prima, Yellow Flower,<br />
è stata proiettata in occasione <strong>del</strong>la trentacinquesima<br />
<strong>Mostra</strong> Internazionale <strong>del</strong> Nuovo Cinema di Pesaro, così<br />
come, nel 2005, Ten Ox-Herding Pictures #1 Going Out in<br />
Search of the Ox.<br />

After ten years of filmmaking, director Lee Ji-sang suddenly<br />
returned to farm life in 2003 and began making a series of<br />
videos divided into 10 parts on his new life. This second installment<br />
represents the personal diary of the director, which is why<br />
he is always present in the film.<br />
“I left to look for the ox. The ox seemed to pass through a narrow<br />
alley enclosed by the mist. There remain footprints. Where<br />
should I go now once I noticed the footprints? I only hope that<br />
all of us get along dimly enclosed by the mist.”<br />

Biography<br />
Born in 1962, Lee Ji-sang studied at the Theological University<br />
of Hakook in Kimhae. His directorial debut came in 1993<br />
with the short film For Rosa. His first feature, Yellow Flower,<br />
was screened at the Pesaro Film Festival in 1999 and Ten Ox-<br />
Herding Pictures #1 Going Out in Search of the Ox, in<br />
2005.<br />
