Stones tenuto vicino San Francisco, a Altamont nel dicembre<br />
<strong>del</strong> 1969. Meredith Hunter venne ucciso dagli Hell’s<br />
Angels davanti al palco e le immagini lo ritraggono prima<br />
di essere aggredito. Un’altra incursione <strong>del</strong> regista di The<br />
Weather Underground negli anni ’60-’70 americani.<br />
Biografia<br />
Sam Green, produttore, regista e montatore, ha studiato<br />
giornalismo a Berkeley. Nel 1997 ha esordito con il documentario<br />
The Rainbow Man/John 3:16, premiato in diversi<br />
festival americani. Nel 2001 ha realizzato Pie Fight ‘69, ottenendo<br />
una menzione speciale nella categoria cortometraggi<br />
<strong>del</strong> Sundance Film Festival. Il più recente The Weather<br />
Underground è stato incluso nella cinquina dei documentari<br />
candidati all’Oscar.<br />

The mystery of a murder, the death of a man who was forgotten<br />
even though history remembers the tragic event. In ten minutes,<br />
using archive material, Sam Green goes over the facts that shook<br />
the Rolling Stones concert in Altamont, near San Francisco, in<br />
December of 1969. Meredith Hunter was stabbed by the Hell’s<br />
Angels in front of the stage and the images show him before he<br />
was attacked. Another foray into 1960s America by the director<br />
of The Weather Underground.<br />
Biography<br />
Sam Green (producer, director, editor) studied journalism at<br />
Berkeley. In 1997, he debuted with the documentary The Rainbow<br />
Man/John 3:16, which won awards at various US festivals.<br />
In 2001, he made Pie Fight ‘69, picking up a Special Mention<br />
in the shorts category at the Sundance Film Festival. His<br />
most recent film, The Weather Underground, was nominated<br />
for the Best Documentary Oscar 2003.<br />
