L’evento è ricco <strong>di</strong>momenti emozionanti e particolaridurante i quali la proposta gastronomicaè una grande protagonista.Sulla spiaggia libera <strong>di</strong> <strong>Cervia</strong> la festaprende vita con l’antica tra<strong>di</strong>zione della“focarina”il 17 marzo. Era consuetu<strong>di</strong>ne,nella notte <strong>di</strong> San Giuseppe, accenderefuochi con legna e sterpi raccolti nellacampagna al fine <strong>di</strong> bruciare “la codadell’inverno”, creando così buoni auspiciper la stagione del raccolto.La città <strong>di</strong> <strong>Cervia</strong>, ha conservato e valorizzatoquesta antica usanza ed oggi questafesta è apprezzata e seguita da migliaia<strong>di</strong> persone che ogni anno si raccolgonointorno alla grande focarina sulla spiaggia<strong>di</strong> <strong>Cervia</strong> e negli stand gastronomicidella Sagra della Seppia a Pinarelladove un nutrito gruppo <strong>di</strong> volontari localiprepara e serve piatti della tra<strong>di</strong>zione ericette innovative ma sempre e comunquea base <strong>di</strong> seppia. They considered such fires bepromising good harvesting times.The city of <strong>Cervia</strong> has maintained andadded further importance to suchtra<strong>di</strong>tional habit. Nowadays, it has cometo be loved and followed by thousands ofpeople who gather around the huge“focarina” on <strong>Cervia</strong>’s public beach andaround the gourmet stands of theCuttlefish Fair in Pinarella. Here a localgroup of volunteers prepare and serve<strong>di</strong>shes belonging to the oldest tra<strong>di</strong>tion,or even the most innovating recipes –whose main ingre<strong>di</strong>ent is nothing butcuttlefish.The only exceptions are madefor the extremely tasty desserts served atlunch- and <strong>di</strong>nner-time end. Each yearmore than 20 quintals cuttlefish arefished for, prepared and served over along weekend. These are builtand manoeuvred by wind experts and artistsfrom all over the world. L’albergatore è tenuto a comunicare acolui che prenota l’eventuale in<strong>di</strong>sponibilità dei posti, o comunquel’esistenza <strong>di</strong> qualsiasi impe<strong>di</strong>mento all’alloggio. Al suoarrivo il cliente è tenuto ad esibire un documento d’identitàche sarà trattenuto per il tempo strettamente necessario adespletare le operazioni previste dalla legge.Prenotazioni scritteLe prenotazioni in genere sono valide solo se fatte per lettera,telegramma, fax e posta elettronica.PRENOTAZIONI TELEFONICHE O VERBALILe prenotazioni in genere, fatte per telefono o verbalmente,devono essere seguite da una lettera, fax, telegramma o messaggio<strong>di</strong> posta elettronica del cliente e l’albergatore, per partesua, deve comunicare al cliente la conferma per iscritto e conle stesse modalità sopra in<strong>di</strong>cate. Per gli esercizi a caratterestagionale la prenotazione deve essere accompagnata da unacaparra pari a tre giorni <strong>di</strong> pensione. Le prenotazioni esclusivamenteverbali impegnano il titolare dell’esercizio solo fino alleore 20.00 della prima giornata <strong>di</strong> prenotazione.Prenotazioni last minuteSono prenotazioni fatte all’ultimo momento per telefono o viae-mail, per le quali valgono le modalità per le conferme. Neglialberghi, se la prenotazione è verbale, è soggetta a tempolimite (ore 18.00 per la città - ore 20.00 per la riviera, salvoche intervengano specifiche comunicazioni da parte del clienteche avvisi <strong>di</strong> eventuali ritar<strong>di</strong>), mentre se il cliente opta per lasicurezza della prenotazione con arrivo a qualsiasi ora devegarantire con carta <strong>di</strong> cre<strong>di</strong>to e per iscritto.Prenotazioni on-lineSono sempre più numerosi i siti internet <strong>di</strong> alberghi, consorzi,agenzie, ecc. che rientrano nella tipologia <strong>di</strong> “e-commerce”: intali siti, oltre a fornire informazioni su prezzi, tariffe, offertepromozionali, o pacchetti “tutto compreso”, è sempre più <strong>di</strong>ffusala possibilità <strong>di</strong> effettuare <strong>di</strong>rettamente on-line la prenotazionealberghiera, concludendo così il contratto <strong>di</strong> albergo.Generalmente la prenotazione on-line viene compiuta con lagaranzia della carta <strong>di</strong> cre<strong>di</strong>to o autorizzazione al pagamentodella caparra tramite carta <strong>di</strong> cre<strong>di</strong>to.Prenotazioni annullateSe la camera prenotata per iscritto non viene occupata dalcliente entro le ore 14.00 del giorno successivo a quello dellagiornata del previsto arrivo, e se nel frattempo il cliente non hafatto giungere conferma <strong>di</strong> prenotazione, la camera si ritienelibera e la prenotazione annullata.ONERI DEL CLIENTEPER INADEMPIENZE CONTRATTUALIIl cliente perde la caparra versata quando non dà seguito allaprenotazione, e quin<strong>di</strong> non si presenta all’albergo per occuparei locali che gli erano stati riservati. In caso <strong>di</strong> impossibilità delcliente a rispettare la prenotazione per gravi motivi documentati,l’albergatore trattiene la caparra a titolo <strong>di</strong> acconto perun soggiorno successivo da concordare tra le parti. In caso <strong>di</strong>partenza anticipata del cliente -fatta esclusione per i casi <strong>di</strong>forza maggiore documentati e i casi <strong>di</strong> colpa attribuibili all’albergatoreo ai suoi preposti- l’albergatore può annullare leeventuali offerte e promozioni e, in caso <strong>di</strong> soggiorno inferiorea tre giorni, può applicare i prezzi alla carta per le prestazionifornite. A risarcimento del danno procurato all’albergatore èprevisto, in via <strong>di</strong> transazione, il versamento <strong>di</strong> un indennizzopari al prezzo della camera per il numero <strong>di</strong> giorni mancanti allafine del soggiorno -fino ad un massimo <strong>di</strong> tre giorni- oltre alpagamento dei servizi fruiti. In tal caso la caparra va detrattadal prezzo finale. Qualora la camera sia stata nuovamente prenotatanel periodo coperto dal pagamento dell’indennizzo, talesomma potrà essere rimborsata al cliente inadempiente.AnimaliGli animali non sono ammessi <strong>di</strong> norma negli esercizi alberghieri.PastiI clienti non possono consumare, durante i pasti, cibi e bevande<strong>di</strong> alcun genere, acquistati fuori dall’esercizio.ParcheggiL’albergatore che fornisce il parcheggio per la macchina delcliente non risponde dei danni o furti subiti dal cliente per la suamacchina nel parcheggio. Theyare subject to the aforesaid rules for bookings and confirmations.In the hotels, verbal bookings are subject to deadlines:- 6pm for hotels situated in town- 8pm for hotels situated by the coast,unless Guests inform the hotel management of possible delays.For more secure bookings, Guests should leave their cre<strong>di</strong>t cardnumber and make the booking in writing.ON-LINE BOOKINGSThere is an increasing number of websites for hotels, consortia,agencies, etc., belonging to the ‘e-commerce’ type: Thesewebsites offer information on prices, rates, offers, ‘all inclusive’packages, and, increasingly, the possibility to book roomson-line, with such type of booking having the vali<strong>di</strong>ty of a hotelcontract. In general, on-line bookings are made by leaving thecre<strong>di</strong>t card number as guarantee or by authorising the securitydeposit payment to be debited to the cre<strong>di</strong>t card.CANCELLATIONSIn the event of no-show by the Guests by 2pm of the day followingthe announced arrival date for a room booked in writing,and if they have not sent any confirmation of their booking, theroom will be considered free and the booking cancelled.CHARGES TO GUESTS FOR NON-FULFILMENTOF CONTRACTGuests will forfeit their security deposit in the event of noshowand, consequently, if the room(s) booked are not occupied.In the event of documented cases of force majeure thathave caused the Guest to be unable to fulfil their hotel contract,the Hotelier will keep the security deposit as a deposit for futurebookings to be agreed between the parties. In the caseof early departure by the Guest – and except for documentedcases of force majeure and events attributable to the Hotelieror the hotel staff – the Hotelier may cancel offers that wouldhave applied and, in case of stays under three days, standardprices might be applied for the services provided. As a compensationfor damages suffered by the Hotelier, the Guest willpay an indemnity equivalent to the room rate for the remainingdays of the stay that had been booked – up to a maximum ofthree days – on top of the services that have been provided. Inthis case, the security deposit will be deducted from the finalprice. If the room has been re-booked for the period coveredby the aforesaid indemnity, this sum might be reimbursed tothe defaulting Guest.PETSUsually, pets are not allowed in hotels.MEALSDuring hotel meals, Guests may not have food or drinks purchasedoutside the hotel premises.PARKING FACILITIESHoteliers offering parking facilities to their Guests are not responsiblefor damages or theft suffered by the Guest’s vehiclein the Hotel parking place.
