Destinazioni di eccellenza sono ilBarbican Centre (barbican.org.uk) cattedrale culturale nel cuoredella City, e il Southbank Centre (southbankcentre.co.uk) con lasua deliziosa terrazza sul Tamigi. Improvvisazionee sperimentazione le parole d’ordine. Poco distante, c’è il cubo divetro del Vortex (vortexjazz.co.uk), ottima meta per gli appassionatidi jazz. Le giovani band in cerca di un contratto, si esibisconoin giro per Shoreditch, la zona più hipster della città, dove si trovaanche quello che molti considerano il negozio di dischi miglioredi Londra: il Rough Trade East (roughtrade.com), con un programmadi showcase quotidiani e gratuiti.
