Il clima gradevole e la bellezza del luogo, fanno di <strong>Sperlonga</strong>,<br />
sin dall’epoca romana, sede ideale di fastose ville<br />
patrizie, tra cu spicca quella dell’Imperatore Tiberio.<br />
Ma è con la caduta di Roma, che <strong>Sperlonga</strong> inizia ad assumere<br />
l’aspetto caratteristico che ancora oggi ammiriamo.<br />
La popolazione comincia ad arroccarsi sulla collina<br />
protesa sul mare. Una necessità determinata soprattutto<br />
dai continui attacchi dei pirati che infestavano il Tirreno.<br />
Il grande sviluppo verrà solo dopo la costruzione della<br />
litoranea, nel 1957. La nuova arteria fece conoscere l’antico<br />
borgo marinaro e la preziosa collezione di marmi di<br />
Villa Tiberio, lanciando <strong>Sperlonga</strong> come una delle mete<br />
turistiche e culturali più apprezzate del Lazio.
The pleasant climate and beauty of the place, make <strong>Sperlonga</strong>,<br />
since Roman times, the ideal site of patrician villas, including that<br />
of the Tiberio’s Roman Emperor.<br />
It was with the fall of Rome, which <strong>Sperlonga</strong> starts to assume the<br />
characteristic appearance that it is still admired today.<br />
The population began to retreat on hill jutting out into the sea. A<br />
particular need mainly by the continuous attacks of pirates who<br />
infested the Tyrrhenian Sea.<br />
Major development will come only after the construction of the coast<br />
road “Via Flacca” in 1957. The new road became known the<br />
old fishing village and the valuable marbles collection of Villa of<br />
Tiberius, launching <strong>Sperlonga</strong> as one of most popular and cultural<br />
tourist destinations of Lazio.<br />

Fatti non fummo a viver come bruti, ma per seguire virtude<br />
e conoscenza, così il sommo poeta faceva parlare Ulisse,<br />
mentre si trovava nella terra dov’è situato L’ostello della gioventù<br />
Marina degli ulivi, quella stessa riviera che prende il<br />
suo nome.<br />
La suggestiva posizione della struttura lo rende unico, infatti<br />
il mare dista appena 100mt, dove vi è la spiaggia riservata<br />
in esclusiva per i clienti dell’ostello, così come l’ampio<br />
parcheggio.<br />
La struttura dispone di 10 camere suddivise in due, quattro,<br />
sei , otto, dieci posti letto, tutte con bagno privato.<br />
L’ostello dispone di cucina dove sarà possibile degustare la<br />
squisita offerta eno-gastronomica della riviera di Ulisse; Per<br />
coloro i quali volessero assaggiare la famosissima pizza del<br />
maestro Spezza, funzionerà il servizio pizzeria sia a pranzo<br />
che a cena.<br />
Il centro di <strong>Sperlonga</strong> dista appena 350mt dall’ostello tramite<br />
una magnifica passeggiata.<br />
Non resta altro che conoscerci presso l’ostello per godere<br />
di tutte le altre amenità che volutamente non abbiamo descritto<br />
perchè viaggiare e conoscere , è come rinascere ogni<br />
