Muscle Nerve 22: 151–155, 1999Retrospectively studied 47 patients with a clinicalhistory compatible with either cervical orlumbosacral radiculopathy who were evaluatedwith both an EMG and a spine MRI.
Sensitivity of EMG ranged from 29% (in patients withpossible radiculopathy) to 72% (in patients withdefinite radiculopathy), whereas MRI was abnormal in53–60% of subjects.The two tests were in agreement for 60% of patients,but disagreed in the other 40%.
