JOHNSTONEQuaestio disputataTHE SUBJECT-OBJECT RELATION IN CONTEMPORARYMORAL THEOLOGYThis original article analyses the historical roots and inner logic ofthree theories which have had a notable influence on contemporarymoral theology. The first is that known as “Objectivismo”, the oldest,which dates from the seventeenth century, but still has its supporters.The second is the “Basic Human Goods” theory developed by GermainGrisez, John Finnis and others from the mid-nineteen sixties. Thethird is “Proportionalism,” a “teleological” theory, which was proposedat the same period and gained support especially in Germany and inEnglish speaking countries. The author situates these theories withinthe historical, cultural era of “modernity,” characterised by the detachmentof subject and object. This enables him to identify the questionsthat these approaches needed to answer, the resources on which theydrew and their limitations.El artículo publicado anteriormente analiza las raíces históricas yla lógica interna de tres teorías que han tenido notable influjo en lateología moral contemporánea. La primera y más antigua, denominada“objectivismo, surgió en el siglo XVII, obteniendo muy prontonumerosos seguidores. La segunda llamada teoría de los“bienes humanosbásicos” ha sido desarrollada en el s.XX por Germain Grisez, JohnFinnis y otros a partir de la mitad de los años ‘60. La tercera, el “proporcionalismo”,es una teoría “teleológica”; surgida en la misma épocaha tenido especial resonancia en Alemania y en los países de lenguainglesa. El autor encuadra estas teorías en la era de la modernidadcaracterizada por la separación entre el sujeto y el objeto.
