The article gives considerationsof the authors who while describing deliberate motives in their work mainlyuse a psychoanalytical method. It is maintained that the theoretical argumentationof these authors in spite of the explanation of particular fieldsof psychodynamics is unable to elaborate a comprehensive and all-embracingtheory because of opinion among the authors working at the classificationof the typical motives of suicide. The article also deals with the resultsof a wide ethnopsychological research of the suicidal phenomenonand the psychosocial characteristics determining a suicidal act.1 H. Henseler.
