TAMTA ROGAVATHE TROPE IN TEIMURAZ II’S“THE CONVERSATION BETWEEN THE LIGHTAND THE DARK”The purpose of the presented article is to prove that the question ofrelationship between the “day” and the “night”, in the well-known poemof Teimuraz II – “The Conversation Between the Light and the Dark”,should be considered as very symbolic. It revealed the differencebetween its author's conception of the light and the dark or between goodand evil from what is regarded as normal. Particularly, the night (dark)implies not an evil source but the divine darkness. It is God's negativename, as well as the day is the God’s positive name. So, the story’s dayand night, light and dark is the allegory for the divine light and dark. So,the argument between them is the literary way of expressing the poet's view.Regarding this, Teimuraz II’s poem “The Conversation Between theLight and the Dark” cannot be only considered as the apology. It is thequestion of vital importance to show the status of the dark. The night isequal to the day and both are equal to God’s positive and negative notions.291
