PRESENTAZIONEL’Italian Conference on AIDS and Retroviruses nasce per offrire alla comunità scientificaitaliana ed alle associazioni del volontariato un ambito di confronto, discussionee crescita per la diagnosi e la cura dell’infezione da HIV, delle patologiecorrelate e per la lotta contro la loro diffusione.Scopo dell’ICAR è promuovere la presentazione della migliore produzione scientificanazionale, dei contributi qualificati di giovani ricercatori e delle indagini sui piùattuali e dibattuti temi sociali, assistenziali e di prevenzione dell’infezione da HIV.Questo primo Convegno a Milano vuole sottolineare il ruolo della ricerca applicatanel miglioramento dell’efficacia terapeutica e rilanciare una stretta collaborazionescientifica tra le diverse competenze in particolare tra specialisti in virologia, immunologiae in malattie infettive.ANTONELLA D’ARMINIO MONfORTEMASSIMO GALLIADRIANO LAZZARINMAuRO MORONI2ICAR • Italian Conference on AIDS and Retroviruses
