I N S T A L L A T I O N3.6 CommissioningNOTEMake sure that the total nominal power of all connecteddevices does not exceed the capacity of the UPS system.1. If optional battery modules are being installed, ensure thatthese are connected to the UPS system (see Connecting thebattery modules/tower or rack model).2. Connect the devices to be protected by the UPS system withoutswitching on the devices.3. Ensure proper attachment and tension relief of the cables.4. Plug the power cable of the UPS system into an outlet(included in the scope of supply with 3000VA model).The LCD display on the front cover of the UPS system lightsup and displays the ONLINE logo.5. Press the button on the front cover of the UPS system forat least one second. The display shows the status "UPS starting".6. If the display of the UPS system displays active warning messages,rectify these problems before you proceed with commissioningthe system (see Troubleshooting).If the display lights up, only proceed after all warning messageshave been rectified. Check the status of the UPS systemon the display and observe all warning messages. Rectifythese and restart the UPS system, if necessary.7. Ensure that the display lights up continuously. If additional battery modules are installed, the number of installedbattery modules must be set in the UPS system (seeOperation – Configuring the UPS system for battery modules).10. To change the factory settings, please read the User Settingssection in the Operation chapter.NOTEONLINE recommend setting the date and timeWhen starting for the first time, the output frequency is set tothe value of the input frequency (the automatic detection isenabled by default).When starting for the first time, the output voltage is set to230 V (the automatic detection is disabled by default).11. If an additional emergency-off switch was installed, the emergency-offfunction must also be checked:To check this, operate the emergency-off switch and checkthat the status switches on the display of the UPS system.Deactivate the emergency-off switch and restart the UPSsystem.NOTEThe internal batteries will charge up to 90% of their capacityin less than three hours. ONLINE recommends charging thebatteries for 48 hours after installation or after a longer periodof storage.
