I N S T A L L A T I O NFigure 7: Removing the front cover from the battery module4. For the lower (or only) battery module, remove the cable ejectionon the upper side of the front cover only. The position ofthe upper cable ejection is shown in Figure 7.5. If you are installing more than one battery module, the respectiveupper and lower cable ejections must be removed for everybattery module. The respective position of the cable ejectionsare shown in Figure 7.ATTENTIONA small spark can occur when the battery module is connectedto the UPS system. This is normal and does not posea hazard to people. Quickly and firmly insert the cable of thebattery module into the battery plug connection of the UPSsystem.6. Stick the cable of the battery module into the battery connectionof the UPS system as shown in Figure 8. Up to four batteriescan be connected to the UPS system.Models up to 1500VA: Release the plug connection for thebattery module at the UPS system and connect the plug connectionwith the connection to the battery module. Press both parts together firmly tocreate a good connection.All models: To connect a second battery module, release theplug connection on the first battery module. Carefully pull theconnection to connect the second battery module. Repeat theprocedure for each additional battery module.7. Ensure that the connections of the battery modules do notloosen. Inserting the front cover of the battery module:To insert the cover again, make sure that the cables of thebattery module are guided through the cable ejections. Thenslide the cover to the right until it engages in the holder on theright side of the housing. Reattach the two screws on the rightside of the front cover.Repeat the procedure for each additional battery module.9.
