I N S T A L L A T I O N3.5 Installing the rack model3.5.1 Mechanical installationFigure 3: Connecting the battery modulesThe UPS system/the battery module is delivered completely assembledand ready-to-connect.Optional slide rails (article number: Rack-Kit) are available for therack model. I N S T A L L A T I O N1. Installation of the rack kit (see separate installation instructions).2. Place the UPS system on a level, stable surface. The frontside of the housing is facing you.3. Align the mounting bracket (L = left and R = right) with thescrew holes on each side of the UPS system and secure theseusing the supplied M4 x 8 pan-head screws.NOTEThere are two sets of four mounting holes respectively oneach side of the UPS:One set is for the front position; one set is for the middle position.Select the position based on your configuration need.4. If you are installing additional UPS systems or battery modules,repeat steps 2 and 3.5. Push the UPS systems and the battery modules into the rack.6. Secure the front of the UPS system resp. the battery moduleto the rack. Use two M6 x 16 pan-head screws and two M6cage nuts (see Figure 4).
