I N S T A L L A T I O NConnecting the battery modules1. Remove the cable clamp on the rear side of the UPS systemwhich covers the battery connection. Keep the clamp andscrews (see Figure 3).2. Installing one single battery module: Remove the cableclamp which covers the right (for models with 1000 – 1500VA)or the upper (for models with 2000 – 3000VA) battery connection.Keep the clamp and screws.3. Installing multiple battery modules: For all battery modules,with the exception of the previously installed battery module,remove the cable clamps of both battery connections. For thelast battery module, the second battery connection remainscovered (see Figure 3).Keep all clamps and screws.CAUTIONA small spark can occur when the battery module is connectedto the UPS system. This is normal and does not posea hazard to people. Quickly and firmly insert the cable of thebattery module into the battery plug connection of the UPSsystem.4. Connect all plug connections between the battery modulesand the UPS system (see Figure 3). Up to four batteries canbe connected to the UPS system.5. Mount all previously removed cable clamps rotated by 90° belowthe connector (see Figure 3).6. Make sure that all lug connections are firmly connected andthat all cables are provided with sufficient tension relief andample bending radii.7.
