M A I N T E N A N C E4. Carefully pull out the battery module insert by the grip andslide the batteries onto a level, stable support. Support thebatteries with both hands.NOTECheck whether the replacement batteries have the samespecifications as the old batteries.5. Replace the batteries in the battery module insert. Please readthe "Disposing of old batteries or the UPS system" section forinformation on proper disposal.6. Insert the battery module insert with the new batteries into thehousing. This requires some effort.7. Insert the battery cover again on the left side and make surethat it engages correctly. Run the connection cable againthrough the access slot on the cover. The screws that wereplaced aside can now be reinserted.CAUTIONA small spark can occur when the batteries are connected tothe UPS system. This is normal and does not pose a hazardto people. Quickly and firmly insert the cable of the batteriesinto the battery plug connection of the UPS system.8. The internal battery plug connection must be reconnected.Connect red with red and black with black. Press both partstogether firmly to ensure a proper connection.9. Secure the plug connection again to the holder and insert thescrews that were placed to the side.10. Reinsert the front cover of the UPS system.When reinserting the cover, check to make sure that theribbon cable is protected. If this is the case, insert the clipson the rear side of the cover into the housing and press firmlyuntil the cover engages.11.
