C O M M U N I C A T I O N6.1.3 Emergency-off function (REPO)The emergency-off function (REPO = Remote Emergency Power-Off) serves to shut down the UPS system and to immediately switchoff the connected consumers remotely. The REPO connector(rear side of the UPS system) must be removed and an externalemergency-off switch must be connected for this.Connection cable cross-section = 0.32 - 4mm 2 (AWG 22 - 12)Recommended connection cable cross-section = 1.5mm 2 (AWG 18)CAUTIONThe emergency-off switch may not be connected to circuitsthat are connected with the mains power supply network.A reinforced insulation to the mains is required. The emergency-offswitch must be dimensioned for at least 24V and20mA. An opening contact must be used. For proper operation,the emergency-off function must remain active for atleast 250msIf the emergency-off function is activated, the input voltage ofthe UPS system must additionally be disconnectedNOTELeave the REPO connector in the emergency-off connectorplugged into the UPS system if the emergency-off function isnot requiredAlways test the emergency-off function before a critical loadis connected. See the "REPO Input Polarity" settingunder User Settings.NOTEDepending on the user configuration, the contacts must beopened (recommendation) or closed to maintain the operationof the UPS system. To restart the UPS system, close theREPO connection contacts (or open these again) and switchthe UPS system on manually.
