O P E R A T I O NQualify Bypass. By default, a switching to bypass mode is only thenpermitted if the bypass is within the following specifications:The bypass voltage lies between the set "Lower bypass voltagethreshold value" and the "Upper bypass voltage thresholdvalue"The bypass frequency lies within the nominal frequency witha deviation of max. ±5HzThe inverter is synchronised with the bypass if the setting"Unsynchronised Transfers" setting is disabledYou can prevent the bypass ("Never") or always allow ("Always")without the specifications are being checked. In the "Always on UPSFault", a switch into bypass mode always occurs for a fault of theUPS system. Otherwise, the mode corresponding to the standardoperating mode setting is selected.Synchronisation window: The UPS system attempts to synchroniseitself with the bypass if the bypass frequency lies below the valuespecified for the "Synchronization Window" setting. If the bypassfrequency lies above the set value, the UPS system switches to thenormal frequency. The synchronisation window in bypass modeamounts to ±5Hz. If the synchronisation is disabled ("Sync Disabled"),the UPS system will only synchronise in bypass mode.Unsynchronised transfers. The standard setting permits andunsynchronised switch to the bypass mode. O P E R A T I O NEach UPS system has two configurable load segments:Load segment 1: The upper or left power outletLoad segment 2: The lower or right power outlet(see "Rear sides of the UPS systems" under Technical Data).To control the load segments via the display:1. Press any button to activate the menu options. Select"CONTROL" and "LOAD SEGMENTS".2. Set the desired load segment using the or buttons to "ON"or "OFF" and select the button to confirm the selection.3. Set the other load segment, if required.To set the waiting time for restart and shutdown of the individual loadsegments:1. Press on any button to activate the menu options. Select"SETTINGS", "USER SETTINGS" and then "AUTOMATICSTART DELAY".2. Set the waiting time for the restart of a load segment and confirmthis setting using the button.3. Set the other load segment, if required.4. Select "AUTOMATIC ON BATTERY SHUTDOWN".5. Set the waiting time for the shutdown of a load segment andconfirm this setting using the button.6.
