O P E R A T I O N4.5 Setting the power strategyIn the "High efficiency" setting, the UPS system normally works inbypass mode. It will switch to the inverter in less than 10 ms if themains power fails and will switch back to bypass mode 1 minute afterthe mains power has returned. The display lights up when theUPS system switches to bypass mode.NOTEHE mode is available after one minute of stable power supply.1. Press any button to activate the menu options. Select"SETTINGS", "USER SETTINGS" and then "POWERSTRATEGY".2. Select "HIGH EFFICIENCY" for high-efficiency mode or"NORMAL" and confirm using the button.4.6 Configuring the bypass settingsSwitch to bypass for overload: By default, a switch to the bypassmode will be forced if an overload occurs. You can specify the settingsfor a delayed change of mode. The waiting time depends onthe degree of overloading (see "Table 15" under Technical Data).Lower bypass voltage threshold: By default, switching to bypassmode is disabled if the measured bypass voltage lies 15% below thenominal output voltage. You can specify the settings for a differentpercentage of the nominal voltage. This setting can be disabled bythe "Qualify Bypass" setting.Upper bypass voltage threshold. By default, switching to bypassmode is disabled if the measured output voltage lies 10% above themeasured nominal output voltage. You can specify the settings for adifferent percentage of the nominal voltage.
