Dalla formula festival a un’idea difesta; proprio perché avviene a Roma, scena principale dellacinematografia italiana, si devono ritrovare gli strumenti piùadatti a riproporre la vitalità straordinaria della visione di unfilm tutti assieme.Sorprese importanti per questa edizione?Nel momento in cui abbiamo scelto di abbandonare progressivamentel’idea del festival tradizionale, si è presa la decisioneforte di rinunciare alla giuria tradizionale e di dare la parola alpubblico. Ci sono 5 premi del pubblico, che vota con dei sofisticatimeccanismi telematici. E questo permetterà anche ai produttoridi utilizzare il nostro festival come banco di prova per iloro film. Le sorprese possono essere anche dei ‘felici imprevisti’,come l’apprezzamento del pubblico per opere sconosciuteai più, facendole così diventare subito di interesse collettivo.Qual è il luogo più cinematografico che ha visitato?Dobbiamo scorporare le metropoli dai paesaggi naturali. Pensandoa una città, indubbiamente Shanghai, perché è in continuatrasformazione e in alcuni angoli si possono vedere scenariurbani da fantascienza. Invece, uno dei luoghi naturali che offresempre angoli e percorsi meravigliosi da scoprire, si trova inPiemonte e sono le Langhe di Roero. Per altro la loro bellezza èstata confermata dalla decisone dell’UNESCO di farle diventare“Patrimonio dell’umanità”.Are there important surprises this year?When we decided to gradually abandon the idea of the traditionalfestival, we made the firm decision to give up the traditionaljury, and to give the floor to the public. Because of their beauty, UNESCO has declared them“World Heritage Sites”.What film do you find most memorable?It depends on the stages of life... But, being born and raised inRome and having come back here to work only three years ago,I would say “Europa 51” by Roberto Rossellini.
