Aims and contentsIn this course the students learn thetheories that allow them to identify, quantify and qualify the energy exchangesboth for heat and work. The educational target is to teach simplequantification of the energy balance and theenergy systems related to the builtenvironment. Sistema Internazionale.Analisi dimensionale.Termodinamica:- Sistema termodinamico. Temperaturaassoluta. Energia interna. Principio zerodella termodinamica. Temperaturaassoluta. Primo principio. Entalpia. Ciclo diCarnot. Rendimento di ciclo. Secondoprincipio. Entropia.Termodinamica applicata:- Diagrammi termodinamici. Cicli diretti acombustione interna ed esterna. Cicliinversi a compressione ed assorbimento.Pompe di calore. Cenni di analisiexergetica.Trasmissione del calore:- Conduzione. Convezione. Irraggiamento.Coefficiente di scambio globale.Aria umida:- Trasformazioni dell’aria umida.PsicrometroArticulation of educational activitiesThe theoretical learning (knowledge) isfocussed on the laws of thermodynamicswith particular attention to the second law.In this way the students can solve theproblems of energy saving and renewableenergy.Systems operating with an inverse cyclewill be investigated, both in refrigerationand with a heat pump function. As regards heat transfer, the courseprovides the basic concepts of the threemethods of heat transfer. They will bestudied in the case in which one prevailsover the others and in the case of theircombination in heat transfer. For each combination the course providesthe common calculation instruments in thebuilding sector. The last part of the course focusses on thethermodynamic relations of moist air
transformations (psychrometry). In the design applications (know how),most of the numerical exercises concernthe inverse cycle. In this way the studentsgain a complete knowledge on the cycletransformations and will be able to managethe order of magnitude of the energyexchanged between buildings and theexternal environment.Topics:- Units and dimensions- Properties of pure substances- Heat and work- First law of thermodynamics (closed andopen systems)- Second law of thermodynamics (closedand open systems)- Heat transfer- Basic Heat Engine cycles (Otto, Diesel,Joule-Brighton, Rankine)- Vapour refrigeration cycleIscrizione al corsoLe iscrizioni avvengono obbligatoriamentesulla piattaforma entro i primi dieci giornidall’inizio dei corsi. Aims and contents- to give an account of the transformationand design of space, of the history andculture of the city and the environment;- to develop the students’ ability to readand interpret the context (territorial, landscape, urban) in which everytransformation is inserted;- to investigate the state of theinstrumentation and real practices, showing proposals, experimentation andconflicts. The course develops with two parallelstrategies:- one of theoretical character concerns thetraditions of the discipline, the significanceand the idea of a city, the theory planningin the passage from traditional models tonew forms of territorial management;- the other is devoted to the disciplinarytools, and it deals with the problems ofdescription and interpretation of theterritory of the city and of its constituentparts.Tema d’annoL’insegnamento assume come propriotema d’anno l’indagine sul territorio dellarecentemente istituita provinciapolicentrica BAT ed in particolare dei suoicentri capoluogo (Barletta Andria e Trani).Design ProblemThe investigation of the territory of therecently estabilished policentric DistrictBAT, and specifically of its chief towns(Barletta, Andria and Trani).Articolazione delle attività didatticheIl corso prevede lezioni ed esercitazioni.Le lezioni (sapere) saranno articolate comesegue:1.
