By the end of <strong>2004</strong>, there were 16 GSE owner-member<br />
brokerage companies, employing 37 licensed<br />
brokers. Of the total number of brokerage companies<br />
11 companies are admitted to the Trading<br />
System.<br />
7 companies hold general licenses and 9 companies<br />
hold special licenses (of which 1 company is entitled<br />
to provide consultation).<br />
Fig. 19 shows the distribution of brokerage companies<br />
by licenses.<br />
Out of 16 licensed brokerage companies 13 represent<br />
Limited Liability Companies and 3 brokerage<br />
companies are registered as Joint-<strong>Stock</strong> Companies.<br />
Financial institutions (banks) established 5 brokerage<br />
companies, private persons established 8 brokerage<br />
companies, 1 brokerage company is established<br />
jointly by financial institutions and private persons,<br />
and 2 brokerage companies were established by foreign<br />
companies. Fig. 20 illustrates the distribution of<br />
brokerage companies by shareholders.<br />
