OPERATIONS PERFORMED
In 2004 the GCSD opened 590 Broker-Client (BC)
accounts of and 49 accounts were closed. As of
31/12/2004 2683 accounts are opened at the GCSD
among them 2635 BC and 46 Direct accounts (DI).
Fig. 14 shows the dynamics of accounts opening and
closing operations during 2000-2004, and Fig. 15 presents
the number of functioning accounts as of end of
the year (for 2000-2004).
During 2004 the GCDC carried out 19,630 operations
(besides opening and closing of accounts). Fig. 16-17
and Fig. 6 show the dynamics of operations performed
during 2000- 2004 and 2004, respectively.
During 2004 the average number of operations to be
executed per account was 7 (9 in 2003), and 192
(180 in 2003) came on one trading session. Each
operation represents a combination of several operations:
receiving and checking a form filled in for
operation; entering it in the accounting system, comparing,
approving and execution; issuing statements
and others. One operation minimally consists of 5-7
actions.
Fig. 18 shows the structure of operations performed in
GCSD. Similarly to the previous years, more than 80%
of the operations comes on preparations of trade
positions and settlement operations.
