Fig. 9-10 shows the distribution of total value by fields
of activities (sectors). The data shows that the
investors were mostly interested in the following sectors:
Financial Intermediaries (54%), Car and
Machinery Manufacturing (26%), Food, Beverages
and Tobacco Processing (8%), Construction (3%),
that consisted 91% of the total turnover for 2004. The
mentioned sectors (except the Car and Machinery
Manufacturing) ranked the top places in 2003 as
well.
Overall, out of 19 sectors 18 were presented in the
trades during 2000-2004. In 2004 the trades were
recorded for 16 sector representatives (the same figure
was recorded in 2003).
Out of 26 regions of Georgia companies from the 21
regions participated in the trades executed during
2000-2004 (19 region companies participated in
2003). In 2004 trades were recorded for issuers from
13 regions (10 in 2003). In 2004 the trades for issuers
from Marneuli and Sighnaghi were recorded for the
first time.
