SEPSI MENINGOCOCCICA <strong>La</strong> sepsi meningococcica esordisce come una banale malattia virale con febbre e faringodinia. Nell’arco di ore compaiono lesioni petecchiali, poi purpuriche con chiazze scure al centro (necrosi), di diverse dimensioni che tendono alla confluenza. Contemporaneamente il bambino presenta stato di shock più o meno grave ma generalmente rapi<strong>da</strong>mente ingravescente
Le lesioni cutanee sono dovute a microtrombi ed emorragie perivasali. Sono più gravemente colpite le estremità. I fenomeni trombotici ed emorragici colpiscono anche i vasi renali (IRA ), surrenalici ( Waterhouse- Friderichsen ) etc.
