I CORSI
THE COURSES
completare i corsi strumentali e vocali.
The object of these courses is to offer specialisation to trained musicians and to introduce younger musicians to the study and interpretation
of early music. The courses include the study of musicological and organological aspects related to the various instruments. Following early
pedagogical traditions, keyboard students have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the other early keyboard instruments and
discover their technical features. Students will practise on various copies of original instrument.
The simultaneous presence of voice, recorder, viola da gamba and all keyboard students offers an ideal situation for the study of the technical
particularities of chamber music. Lectures on organological and musicological themes complement the instrumental and vocal courses. The
realisation of an ensemble production, vocal and instrumental, allows further study of the musical aspects which characterise it: ranging from
historic-stylistic, through thematic lectures, to those related to performance practice and interpretation choices, involving all the students in a
challenging and educative project, culminating in a public performance.

Georges Kiss received the First Prize cum laude from the Music
Conservatory of Geneva, in the class of Isabelle Nef. He was her assistant
for several years, before creating a very active class at the Conservatory
of Annecy (France), which trained numerous professional harpsichordists.
His career as performer (more than two thousand concerts) has lead him
to most European countries, to America and to Asia, as a soloist, in
recitals, or in chamber music ensembles. His recordings include the
complete work of Jacques Duphly, the concerto for three harpsichords by
Mozart, the sonatas for flute and continuo by Sammartini, the sonatas for
recorder and continuo by Philidor and Handel, and recently the concertos
for one, two, three and four harpsichords by J. S. Bach, the Seven Last
