La provincia di Sondrio si identifica<br />
con la Val Chiavenna e la Valtellina,<br />
due delle principali valli delle Alpi<br />
lombarde, da cui dipartono numerose<br />
ed interessantissime valli laterali.<br />
La v<strong>it</strong>a si svolge prevalentemente nei fondovalle, anche se le attiv<strong>it</strong>à legate al turismo<br />
hanno mantenuto viva la frequentazione delle local<strong>it</strong>à ad alta quota. I prodotti<br />
tipici e la produzione vinicola trovano nell'agr<strong>it</strong>urismo un palcoscenico di tutto<br />
rispetto che, soprattutto negli ultimi anni, ha saputo acquisire l'importanza che<br />
mer<strong>it</strong>a questo terr<strong>it</strong>orio particolarmente vocato alle coltivazioni e al turismo.<br />
The province of Sondrio is known for Val Chiavenna and Valtellina, two of the<br />
main valleys in the Lombardy Alps, from which many charming side valleys branch<br />
off. Most of the life is at the bottom of the valleys, although tourist activ<strong>it</strong>ies have<br />
kept the locations at a higher level busy. Agr<strong>it</strong>ourism provides an excellent showcase<br />
for typical products and wine production, and especially in recent years has<br />
acquired an importance worthy of this land which lends <strong>it</strong>self particularly well to<br />
crops.<br />
Die Ident<strong>it</strong>ät der Provinz Sondrio liegt in Val Chiavenna und in Valtellina, zwei der<br />
wichtigsten Täler der lombardischen Alpen, von denen zahlreiche sehr interessante<br />
Se<strong>it</strong>entäler abzweigen. Das Leben spielt sich hauptsächlich in der Talsohle ab,<br />
doch auch höher gelegene Ortschaften sind durch den Tourismus gut besucht.<br />
Typische Produkte und Weinproduktion sind im Agrotourismus sehr angesehen;<br />
vor allem in den letzten Jahren gewann dadurch die Landschaft, die berühmt für<br />
ihre Anbauflächen ist, zurecht an Bedeutung.<br />
