These appointments are issued against the vacancies with the concurrence of Finance (SIU)
Department vide their U/O No. FSI. 426/2012 dated 21/09/2012 and the validity of approval of
the posts subsequently extended by the Finance Department vide No. FSI.5/2005/Vol.-VI/80
dated 11/02/2013.
The appointees will have to furnish an undertaking along with the joining report as
prescribed in the Finance (Budget) Department letter No. BW-3/2003/Pt-II/1 dated 25/1/2005 for
“New Pension” Rules. The content of the Undertaking is as follows.
“I understand and accept that Govt. servant joining the service of the State Govt. on or after
1st February/2005 shall not be governed by the existing Assam Service (Pension) Rules, 1969 and
order issued there under from time to time and that my pension and other retirement benefits will
be governed by a set of New Pension Rules which are in line with the contributory Pension
Schemes of the Govt. of India”.
It is further instructed that without above undertaking at the time of joining, the joining
report shall not be accepted by the school. The teacher concerned will have to compulsorily
undergo 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education as and when deputed for such training or any
such equivalent course prescribed by NCTE. If such appointees fail to pass training course,
his/her appointment will summarily be dismissed as per RTE Act. 2009.
The expenditure will be debitable under the Head of accounts, “2202-Genl.-Edn.
