VOLI DA ROMA BUONGIORNO ROMA PASSATO E FUTURO LA ROMA CLASSICA
L’offerta Alitalia dall’hub di
Roma Fiumicino comprende più
di 1.500 frequenze settimanali
verso 88 destinazioni, di cui 23
nazionali, 52 internazionali e 13
intercontinentali. Con l’avvio
del nuovo orario estivo, Alitalia
incrementerà l’offerta verso le
destinazioni intercontinentali (Nord
e Sud America) e internazionali
(tra cui Russia, Israele, Germania e
Danimarca) e, dal 4 giugno, aprirà
un nuovo collegamento per Seoul.
Un cappuccino e un ‘cornetto’
al Caffè Farnese, splendido bar
con oltre 60 anni di storia che si
affaccia sulla piazza omonima,
abbellita da fontane e dall’antico
palazzo che ospita l’Ambasciata di
Francia. Contemporaneo è invece,
il Cafè Doney, all’interno del
Westin Excelsior Roma, arredato
con pezzi di Massimiliano Fuksas
(restaurantdoney.com).
I Musei Vaticani custodiscono la
Cappella Sistina con il Giudizio
Universale di Michelangelo,
capolavoro oggi ancora più
splendente grazie alla nuova
illuminazione. Al MAXXI, il
museo dedicato alle arti visive
del XXI secolo, c’è fino al 3
maggio la mostra: “Bellissima:
l’Italia dell’alta moda 1945-1968”
(fondazionemaxxi.it).
Un salto indietro nel tempo con
una passeggiata al Colosseo,
il più famoso anfiteatro
dell’antichità, che prosegue
lungo i Fori Imperiali, sulla
quale si affacciano le imponenti
strutture del Foro di Cesare
e dei fori (le piazze) volute
dagli imperatori Augusto,
Nerva, Vespasiano e Traiano
(turismoroma.it). Ma è solo
l’inizio…

The Vatican Museums
contain the Sistine Chapel
with Michelangelo’s “Last
Judgment”, a masterpiece
made all the more resplendent
by new lighting. At MAXXI,
a museum devoted to visual
art of the 21st century, the
exhibition, “Bellissima: the
Italy of high fashion 1945-
1968”, runs through 3 May
(fondazionemaxxi.it).
CLASSICAL ROME
Take a backward leap in time
at the Colosseum, the most
famous amphitheatre of antiquity,
continuing along the Imperial
Forums, faced by the imposing
structures of the Forum of
Caesar and the forums (squares)
built by Emperors Augustus,
Nerva, Vespasian and Trajan
