AGENDA MOTORI
oltre 2,7 milioni di unità vendute in tutta Europa, Ypsilon
ha saputo evolversi in questi 30 anni diventando una
vera e propria icona dello stile Lancia.
dello charme e dell’unicità stilistica Lancia.
Contraddi-
Backed by four generations and over 2.7 million units
sold across Europe, Ypsilon has evolved in the past
30 years, becoming a real Lancia style icon. In 1985,
when the original debuted, it amazed the public both
for its innovative wedge-shape and wide range of colours,
all combined with the sophisticated black tailgate.
Ten years of commercial success followed, and
in 1996 the Lancia Y was introduced, an even more
elegant car, with a strong personality that reinforced
the concept of “tailor-made luxury”.
Then in 2003, the debut of the third generation
brought Lancia Ypsilon technology and “class” previously
exclusive to higher segment vehicles to the
world of city-cars. The same was true in 2011 when
the special testimonial, Vincent Cassel, was asked to
launch the fourth generation. With the French movie
star’s presence, the Ypsilon confirmed its sophisticated
style and unconventional class, becoming even
stronger and more cross-cutting. In fact, for the first
time, the Ypsilon was available with five doors to
welcome lovers of charm and unique Lancia style, in
greater comfort.
To celebrate its success story, the brand introduced
the special new “30th Anniversary” Ypsilon series at
the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, to complete the range
