Nato a Flensburg, in<br />
Germania, nel 1968, <strong>il</strong><br />
contrabbassista Martin Wind<br />
si dedica tanto al repertorio<br />
classico (con collaborazioni come<br />
Guidon Kremer, Christoph Eschen -<br />
bach, Mstislav Rostopo witch per<br />
citarne alcune) quanto al jazz.<br />
Trasferitosi a New York nel 1996,<br />
per studiare alla New School, ha<br />
suonato con Monty Alexander, Pat<br />
Metheny, Clark Terry, Mark Murphy,<br />
Slide Hampton, Toots Thielemans,<br />
Buddy DeFranco. Il suo quartetto è<br />
un progetto relativamente recente.<br />
Nato nel 2007, ha all’attivo gli<br />
albums “Salt’n Pepper!” (2008), e<br />
“Get it” (2010), oltre al DVD “Live<br />
at <strong>Jazz</strong> Baltica” (2009).<br />
In questa occasione lo affianca un<br />
batterista che tutti gli appassionati<br />
di jazz hanno amato nel trio dell’ultimo<br />
B<strong>il</strong>l Evans: Joe La Barbera.<br />
Nato a Mt. Morris, New York, nel<br />
1948, ha suonato con Woody<br />
Hermann, Chuck Mangione, Jim<br />
Hall, Ph<strong>il</strong> Woods, Art Farmer, Gary<br />
Burton, Art Pepper, John Scofield,<br />
Toots Thielmans, Joe Farrell, prima<br />
di essere chiamato, nel 1978, nel<br />
trio di B<strong>il</strong>l Evans, in cui m<strong>il</strong>itò fino<br />
alla morte del pianista.<br />
